The safeguard

“Use it or lose it”: no one can cheat.

This is what finally makes self-service fair. The sunbed frees itself up if no one's really using it.

Booking

The guest books their sunbed and the ones for their group.

Countdown

A reasonable window starts: 1.5 to 2 hours.

Notification

Before it ends, the guest is notified: scan to extend.

On-site NFC rescan

To extend, they need to be physically at the sunbed.

They're there → they extendThe rescan confirms they're present. A new slot is granted.

Absent → the sunbed frees upNo rescan, no presence: the spot goes to the next guest.

The key point for you

Since extending requires being on-site, it's impossible to lock up 4 sunbeds from a hotel room for the whole day. The system sorts it out — your team no longer has to play referee.
